Jiangsu Bote New Materials Co., Ltd, which is originated from Building Materials Research Institute affiliated to the Architectural Academy of Jiangsu Province, was restructured into a hi-tech limited corporation in 1993. Specialized in the research, development and application of concrete admixture and concrete technologies, Bote has become the leader of R&D, large-scale production and professional technical service in the industry of concrete admixture in China. It has established an integrated system of R&D, mass production and technical service. The manufacturing base has been named as Jiangsu Scientific and Technological Development Base of Concrete Admixtures in 1998, and has been named as Industrialization Base of Concrete Admixtures & architectural painting by State Construction ministry in 2002, and also named as the New Hi-tech Enterprise of Jiangsu Province in 2003.The products have been affirmed as Jiangsu Provincial Famous Brand in 2005 and Chinese Top Brand in 2007. Bote was approved to set up its Postdoctoral Workstation and granted Quality Award of Jiangsu Province in 2006. At present, the corporation has an employment of 260 including 112 technicians, among whom 22 employees are senior and professor-level engineers, and 37 have doctor or master degrees. The chairman has been granted special state allowance and elected as representative of National People’s Congress in three consecutive sessions. Bote’s several researchers have been named as the Top Ten Scientific Stars in Building Industry of Jiangsu Province. Four senior engineers have been selected as the member of 333 Project, which is the talent training program in Jiangsu Province. The R&D center whose area is 2000 square meters is the innovation hub of the corporation and equipped with a whole set of advanced experimental analysis and R&D instruments. Up to now, the R&D center has undertaken a lot of research tasks including a key major project supported by National Science Foundation. The research achievements were awarded National Scientific and Technological Progress Award for three times, Ministerial Scientific and Technological Progress Award special grade 1 time, first grade 4 times and second grade 7 times and awards from province, ministry and city more than 30 times. More than 300 research papers have been published in domestic and international professional journals and 40 invention patents have been authorized in China. These achievements not only improve the technological level of the concrete industry, but also greatly energize Bote’s research activities and accelerate its continuous innovation.
